Manor House is a handsome Grade II* Listed house constructed of Limestone and part rendered with a Collyweston slate roof. The pedestrian approach to the front of the house is via a wrought iron gate between the ornate limestone gate piers and front walls. Outbuildings include a stone and Collyweston roofed building housing the biomass boiler and a larger building with a double garage and an oak framed office with glazed elevations. Thorpe by Water sits in the ever-popular Welland Valley on the border of Rutland and Northamptonshire. From Uppingham, take the A6003 south towards Rockingham. As you leave Uppingham take the last turning left, signposted to Lyddington. Follow this road into the village taking a left along Thorpe Road at the end of the village. Follow this road for 1 mile until reaching a T junction with the B672. turn left and the village of Thorpe by Water is signposted on your right after 300 metres. Follow Main Street into the village and Manor House is on your right opposite the village green.
