A luxury accessory doesn’t necessarily have to astronomically expensive to be considered luxurious. Sometimes, it can just be fabulous. A perfect example of this is the 1 GB Swarovski crystal-encrusted portable memory drive. At first glance, it simply looks like a jewel adorned lock, but it’s actually the perfect solution for the busy professional on the go. Whether you’re working from home, on a plane or by the pool, this stylish gadget allows you to have immediate access to important documents, photographs and even music. With the hectic nature of the successful working professional, you will never again have to frantically call a colleague to request a spreadsheet be faxed to you. This functional, in vogue portable memory drive allows you to have any file you might need at your disposal – anywhere at anytime.

Champagne House Veuve Clicquot has teamed with designer Karim Rashid to create the Globalight, an artistic, glowing, portable cooler to house your most special champagne. I guess now I can finally get rid of that Styrofoam cooler with pink fluorescent lights mounted on the side that I’ve been toting around all these years. The pre-chilled base of the stylish Globalight will keep Champagne at the ideal temperature for up to four hours, while the soft LED light display sets the mood for any entertaining environment.
The limited edition unique tote/chiller/design piece is available on eclicquot.com for $4,500.

According to Daniel Marshall, “a fine cigar is one of life’s most distinguished pleasures. Therefore, a cigar’s care and storage is an absolute necessity.” Mr. Marshall knows all about fine care for cigars, as Daniel Marshall Humidors provide sophisticated and quality storage for the true cigar enthusiast. Such care goes into a DM Humidor that new creations of cigar storage can take nearly four months to create- from the selection of the finest materials to an extensive quality-control process. One of the unique creations is the DM Chess Humidor, combining the elegance of the cigar with the grace of the ultimate thinking man’s game. The drawer under the rosewood and maple chess board will hold up to 40 cigars, with room for your cutter and a lighter. The lead-weighted chess pieces are carved from rosewood and hard rock, and can be stored in a second drawer. If only there was a way to store bourbon in the pawns…

TOYWATCH may claim to be an “anti-luxury statement,” but with the registry of famous names sporting these timepieces, I must insist on adding them to our luxury blog. The line was launched in 2006 by Milanese designer Marco Mavilla and quickly won the hearts (and wrists) of trendsetters like Oprah, Madonna and Katie Holmes. Fashioned from sporty materials such as acrylic, ceramic and plastic, the eye-catching watches are embellished with crystal, mother-of-pearl and, as in the example shown here (my favorite), rose gold. Check out the entire TOYWATCH collection.

Neiman Marcus is hosting a Manolo Blahnik “event” through the end of March. Before you get too excited, this just means you get a free sketch book full of the designer’s favorite sketches with any Manolo Blahnik purchase over $650. Though I enjoy a good shoe as much as the next girl, and I appreciate Manolo Blahnik, I have to ask — is this deal really worthy of being called an “event?” Perhaps I’m just not that into Manolo Blahnik. I figured I’d pass the word along though, because I’m guessing someone out there can’t wait to get their hands on the sketch book. Or maybe it’s just an excuse to drop $700 on another pair of fabulous footwear?

What to do after a meal when you sense a bit of truffle or caviar stuck between your teeth? Well, surely you don’t pick your teeth at the table, and after retiring from a luxurious dinner you certainly can’t sip brandy or wine in the parlor with a wooden toothpick dangling from your mouth. E.K.D.O. has a solution to this most pressing predicament…the Icepik. Icepiks are bejeweled sheaths that slip over a toothpick so that while the wooden point inside your mouth is picking your choppers, the 18k gold and precious gems are brightening up your mouth’s exterior. Prices for handcrafted Icepicks range from $800 to $3,000- the cost of the diamond encrusted version shown here. I can’t wait to get one of these and I’m holding out hope for a Q-tip version and a handkerchief woven from thread of gold.

I found these incredible shoes, designed by Mai Lamore, in the pages of Elite Traveler. These are more than shoes - they are works of art. The thorny heels are 18 karat gold and the silk petals are hand-dyed. The playful bee is made of gold, onyx and agate.
And they only cost $27,945 - a good price for a masterpiece.
Contact Mai Lamore directly for more information.

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of cigars and cigar culture? Is it fossilized mammoth tusks? No? Well now it can be. XIKAR has combined the romance of smoking a fine cigar with the recovery of 10,000-year-old preserved mammoth remains. The Xi3MI Fossil Mammoth Bark Ivory Cutter is a fine piece of equipment that boasts stainless steel construction, powerful cutting action, and a striking teardrop design. Of course the most unique feature is the fossilized ivory, which makes each cutter a one-of-a-kind.

I was flipping through the pages of Town & Country magazine when I came across an ad for Paolo Costagli’s “Happy Rings.” They certainly made me happy. I’ve never seen a ring so brightly colored as these magenta and mandarin accessories. And though I’m not normally accustomed to such bold statements of color (alas, my entire wardrobe is black and gray) it was refreshing to see apparel that you couldn’t wear to a funeral. So of course I went searching on PaoloCostagli.com and found my favorite version of the Happy Ring, pictured. The only thing depressing about this green and pink Happy Ring is that I don’t have one! For those looking to add a little happiness to their lives, these Paolo Costagli creations are available at Bergdorf Goodman.
On another note, while perusing Paolo Costagli’s website I also found these very timely pumpkin-shaped salt and pepper shakers - perfect for fall holidays. Finally, you can season your pumpkin soup in style.
