Gorgeous Oregon
October 31st, 2006 by Lilly
I received a comment on my Seattle post asking about luxury Oregon properties. I’ve never been to Oregon - although I’ve heard it’s gorgeous and I plan to go this spring - so I was also interested in seeing what the Beaver State has to offer. I must say I’m impressed! The luxury homes I found are stunning and diverse, situated in breathtaking settings, such as the Rogue River property pictured left. Architect Daniel Solomon utilized simple, clean lines to reflect the natural surroundings in a subtle and graceful manner. Wisteria-covered pergolas add a classic touch to the serene pool area, and the interior of the home is elegant to the last detail. Now that your interest is piqued, read on about more luxury Oregon homes…
I’m a nature lover, so this Ashland home really caught my eye. Its woodsy setting conjures up images of fairy tales, yet the home itself has a more modern feel. It is the only private residence in the 93-acre Lithia Park - perfect for those seeking a tranquil retreat.
If you’d rather be on the beach than in the woods, this Gold Beach home is more your style. I can’t imagine how beautiful the sunsets must be from the multi-level decks overlooking the Pacific. This property is also very private, secluded by picturesque rock outcroppings. Those who love the sea will also love that this property has a boat house.
This home in Prospect is yet another example of a scenic Oregon setting. It’s hard for a city gal like me to believe that such a place exists in America. Instead of cramped apartments overlooking congested highways, lucky Oregonians have modern, spacious mountain chalets with views of flowing turquoise rivers and evergreen woods. This home has a crow’s nest and an outdoor hot tub from which to enjoy the inspiring landscape.
Whether in bustling Portland or at the foot of the Cascades, luxury Oregon homes are surrounded by beauty and impeccably designed. The properties mentioned above are all listed with John L. Scott Real Estate. Find more Oregon properties here.
