Spanish Sea Cliff House
When I picture my dream house, this is pretty much what I see. First, it's in San Francisco - a fantastic city with one of the hottest real estate markets in the country. Second, it is settled on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Not to mention it's an absolutely gorgeous home, inside and out. This renovated Spanish-style home is listed with Alain Pinel Realtors on the luxury market for $23.5 million. I guess I'll have to keep dreaming. But if a luxury San Francisco home is your realty, I have a few more suggestions...
This Russian Hill home listed with McGuire Real Estate is absolutely amazing. It is both historically and architecturally significant, and has incredible views of the entire city - including Knob Hill, the Financial District, the bay and Bay Bridge, Coit Tower and Alcatraz. The home features five bedrooms and an office, six and two half bathrooms, a wine cellar, and elevator, a grand marble stairway and a glass roof conservatory with stairs up to a "secret garden." Other features include a grand ballroom with soaring windows, numerous terraces, a formal dining room and a world-class kitchen with top appliances. It's really beyond description. Check out more pictures here.
Or if city living isn't your thing, check out some of the towns just outside of San Francisco in Marin County, such as Tiburon. This house listed with Frank Howard Allen Realtors also has incredible views of the bay and the city, but is situated in a private, park-like setting in Tiburon. Click here to find out more.
Santa Clara County is another area outside of San Francisco that is chock-full of luxury homes. One of the most unique among them is the French Normandy Estate in Saratoga listed with Intero Real Estate Services for $8.2 million. Among the many features of this property are a full-floor master suite, a movie theater, and a 1600-bottle redwood wine cellar.
Someday it will be mine.
